Specifically, businesses such as Bao Tin Minh Chau, SJC, DOJI , PNJ are listing at 120.7-122.7 million VND/tael, the difference between buying and selling is 2 million VND. Mi Hong alone listed the buying price at 121.7 million VND/tael. Phu Quy is buying at 120.2 million VND/tael.
At some businesses, the price of gold rings also increased by nearly 1 million VND. Bao Tin Minh Chau is listing it at 117.2-120.2 million VND/tael; Mi Hong is trading at 116.5-118 million VND/tael; Phu Quy is buying and selling at 116.6-119.2 million VND/tael; PNJ is also listing it at 116.6-119.2 million VND/tael.
At 1:10 a.m. on July 23 (Vietnam time), spot gold prices increased by 1% to $3,428.84/ounce - the highest level since June 16. Gold futures prices in the US also increased by 1.1% to $3,443.70/ounce.
Trade uncertainty is driving safe-haven demand for gold as the U.S. negotiates multiple trade deals, said senior analyst Jim Wyckoff at Kitco Metals.
