The Thai Nguyen City Association for the Disabled currently has over 330 members. Over the years, members have overcome difficulties and physical disabilities to actively participate in sports training. Among them, many members are members of the provincial sports delegation participating in national sports competitions, achieving high achievements such as athletes Duong Thi Hoa Hue, Nguyen Tu Anh; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Hoang Thi Hoa...

However, the number of people with disabilities participating in sports is still small (only 15-20 people), not regular and activities are individual. Therefore, the establishment of the club will contribute to promoting the sports movement for people with disabilities in the area, thereby affecting the improvement of sports and cultural institutions for this group.
