Fierce competition at the sailing and sup racing competition on the sea in Da Nang

The 4th sailing and SUP race held in Da Nang was exciting and thrilling, attracting 60 young athletes from major cities and provinces to participate.
On the morning of September 21, at Nguyen Tat Thanh beach, Thanh Khe district, the Vietnam Sailing Federation coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang to open the National Youth Sailing Championship and the National Youth Sup Championship and the National Club Cup in 2024.
This year's tournament attracted 60 male and female athletes from provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong , and Da Nang.
Before the competition begins, athletes are instructed on the rules and SUP swimming diagram. At the same time, athletes also warm up before the competition.
Sup (Stand Up Paddle Board) competition for men and women at distances of 200m, 1,000m, 1,500m, 2,000m.
The Sup tournament is divided into age groups from 10 to 14 years old, 15 to 17 years old, and an open group from 18 years old and up.
The Sup competition on the sea was exciting in the first rounds, making many spectators excited.
The athletes showed their determination to compete at their best.
The contest created a vibrant atmosphere for Nguyen Tat Thanh beach.

Athlete Nguyen Thi Nhung from Thai Nguyen team said: "This is the first time participating in a sea competition and I am very impressed with the scenery here. Nguyen Tat Thanh beach has a wide sandy beach, convenient for moving and competing in sailing and sup rowing. My teammates and I have practiced very hard to have the best preparation for the competition."
The enthusiastic cheering of the audience created more motivation for the participating athletes as well as made the tournament more exciting.
In Da Nang, the SUP rowing movement has developed very strongly in recent years, every morning and afternoon at Man Thai beach area.
Because there was no wind, the Sailing competition had to wait until noon to compete.
Athletes competing in the Sailing tournament compete in the following categories: Optimist boat (men's and women's), Laser boat, 470 boat.
The tournament aims to promote the development of the Sailing training movement nationwide; create opportunities for young Sailing athletes nationwide in general and national youth teams in particular to compete. Thereby, testing and evaluating training levels, to select the most promising athletes to prepare forces for the National Team to participate in international competitions in 2024 and the following years.
The 2024 National Youth Sailing Championship, National Youth Sup Championship and National Club Cup will take place until September 21.
