1. In recent times, the Youth Union of Phuoc Vinh Tay Commune, Tay Ninh Province has organized many meaningful activities, thereby contributing to fostering patriotism, educating revolutionary traditions for the younger generation and doing a good job of repaying gratitude. With the journey to the "red address" at the Cau Kinh historical site, which marks the heroic history and indomitable spirit of generations of fathers and brothers, union members and young people respectfully offer incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs. In the solemn atmosphere, the heroic historical stories and heroic sacrifices of the previous generation touch the hearts of every young person.

The candle lighting ceremony contributes to educating historical traditions for the younger generation.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the Commune Youth Union also visited and expressed gratitude to veteran Nguyen Van Kiem - who directly fought in the Cau Kinh area and is devoted to taking care of and preserving this historical relic.

The Commune Youth Union established the Thai Duong Club, formerly the Can Giuoc District Volunteer Youth Club (operating since December 2013) with many practical activities such as gratitude, visiting war invalids, families of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions. In addition, the Club organizes visits to historical sites outside the province, historical competitions in English and Vietnamese, contributing to fostering patriotism for the younger generation.

Secretary of Phuoc Vinh Tay Commune Youth Union Pham Duy Phuong said: "The commune's Youth Union actively shares propaganda publications on modern media and digital platforms about the birth and significance of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" associated with the history of the nation's struggle to build and defend the country; organizes branch and club activities on topics; organizes journeys to "red addresses", shares information, talks about traditions, meets and interacts with historical witnesses".

2. Continuing the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, in recent years, the youth of Binh Duc commune have carried out many activities to show gratitude to those who contributed to the revolution. The programs were implemented synchronously, closely and had a widespread effect, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and deep gratitude of the young generation for the great sacrifices of their ancestors.

Every year, on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), union members and youth organize incense offering and candle lighting ceremonies at the Commemoration Monument of the Commune's Heroes and Martyrs. In a solemn atmosphere, each candle lit next to each grave is a sincere gratitude and remembrance of those who fell for the independence and freedom of the nation. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thanh - Secretary of the Binh Duc Commune Youth Union, said: "The candle lighting ceremony is not only a ritual, but through it, the youth of Binh Duc show their responsibility to preserve historical values and the moral of "When drinking water, remember its source". These practical actions contribute to spreading to many future generations".

In parallel, for many years, the Youth Union of Binh Duc commune has implemented models such as Vietnamese Tet Space, Filial Children, visiting and giving gifts to policy families, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution in the area. In particular, young people also cook meaningful meals, creating a warm atmosphere and expressing gratitude and respect for policy families.

Not stopping there, the Youth Union of Binh Duc commune also regularly organizes political activities. This is an opportunity for union members and young people to review the glorious history of the nation's struggle, remembering the noble sacrifices of previous generations. Through that, the spirit of patriotism is strongly aroused, contributing to fostering the ideal of living beautifully and responsibly for the young generation.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thanh added: “In addition to showing gratitude through concrete actions, we always attach importance to educating ideals for union members and young people through political activities. Reviewing traditions and reminding the contributions of previous generations is a way for young people to more deeply understand the value of independence and freedom.”

The meaningful activities in each locality show that the morality of “When drinking water, remember its source” is not only preserved but also spreads strongly. In each place, each activity has a different way of expression, but all have the same meaning of gratitude and continuing the patriotic tradition of today’s young generation./.
