Khanh Hung Commune: Many roads need to be upgraded

Currently, many roads in Khanh Hung commune, Tay Ninh province are degraded, not meeting the needs of people for travel, transportation of goods and agricultural products. The government and people want these roads to be invested in and upgraded to serve the development needs of the locality.

Narrow roads affect traffic

Route 831F (Khanh Hung - Hung Dien A commune section, Vinh Hung district, old Long An province) is about 14km long, invested in asphalt and put into use since 2009, contributing to creating convenient conditions for travel and exchange of goods for hundreds of households in the area.

After a long time of use, this road has deteriorated, many sections of the road surface have collapsed and peeled off. After the rains, the water stagnates, making it very dangerous for vehicles to travel on, and there have been many traffic accidents recently.

On the other hand, the narrow road does not ensure to serve the needs of transporting goods and agricultural products, especially during the rice harvest season.

Mr. Nguyen Cong An (Khanh Hung commune, Tay Ninh province) said: “The road is narrow and degraded, but there are many vehicles. We have repeatedly made recommendations to the provincial People's Council, National Assembly, and local representatives, but so far they have not been implemented. We hope the State will soon construct this road so that people can travel more conveniently.”

Some other roads in the commune are also similarly degraded and need investment, such as the road on the North bank of Hung Dien canal (from Tan Thanh - Lo Gach road to the East bank of Bau Nau canal) with a length of 6km; the road on the South bank of Long Khot river (from Binh Tu bridge to Roc Bui culvert), 14km long. On the other hand, on these two roads there are many small and narrow bridges and culverts that need synchronous investment.

Many roads in Khanh Hung commune need to be invested in and upgraded to serve the travel and freight transport needs of the people.

Vice Chairman of Khanh Hung Commune People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Em said: "Khanh Hung is a remote commune, the annual budget revenue is still limited, most of it is supported from the higher budget, so there is not enough money to spend on repairing the roads. In the coming time, I hope that all levels and sectors will pay more attention to investing in repairing the roads in the area."

The investment in upgrading roads in Khanh Hung commune will contribute to completing and synchronizing traffic infrastructure, serving the travel and circulation of goods and agricultural products of the people, as well as ensuring safety for traffic participants, contributing to promoting socio -economic development, strengthening national defense and security in the locality./.
