Lam Dong Provincial Military Command surveys to build border residential areas

On July 23, Colonel Le Truc Lam, Deputy Commander of Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, head of the working delegation, conducted a survey to build a Border Residential Area in the province's border area, adjacent to Cambodia.

Leaders of departments and boards under the Provincial Military Command; representatives of the Departments of Construction, Agriculture and Environment, Industry and Trade, Lam Dong Electricity Company, Lam Dong Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company participated in the delegation.

The survey team carried out the task of firmly grasping the location, content, and implementation method of the plan to build residential areas adjacent to permanent militia posts in the border area of the communes of Dak Wil, Thuan An, Thuan Hanh, Quang Truc, and Tuy Duc.

Survey contents include: Land fund to ensure the implementation of the Project; proposed location for building houses adjacent to Border residential areas (residential land with foundations, production land...) ensuring the criteria: 200 m to 1.5 km from militia posts, with traffic routes connecting to existing residential areas and connecting to border patrol roads, concreted according to new rural standards.

The delegation also conducted a survey of electricity, water, and traffic infrastructure; surveyed the population density and political security situation in the area where the border militia posts, border guard posts, and border guard stations were stationed. Surveyed combat facilities and armed forces units adjacent to border guard posts and border guard stations, etc.

In addition to reports and proposals from localities and units, the delegation also directly met, had dialogues, and grasped the situation from people in the above areas to summarize in detail the difficulties and problems to propose to superiors solutions to ensure that the construction of Border Residential Areas in the province's border area with Cambodia is implemented according to plan and ensures quality.

The survey results will be an important basis for provincial leaders to develop plans and coordinate with local authorities and relevant units for implementation.

Working group grasps the situation in localities

Building Border Residential Areas is a major project deployed by the Military Region 7 Command since 2019. The project aims to mobilize resources and the entire local political system to participate in eliminating "white spots" of residential areas, establishing new residential areas and villages full of vitality, peace, warmth of military-civilian relations, and socio-economic development in the border area, contributing to creating a national defense posture and a continuous defense posture on the border line.
