According to Dr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, every day the Department of Upper Limb Trauma and Microsurgery receives dozens of cases of domestic accidents such as escalator accidents, putting hands in fruit blenders, meat grinders, fish grinders, fabric winches, washing machines, work accidents, etc. The patients all suffer complex injuries due to being caught and crushed by their hands or feet. When such an accident unfortunately occurs, the family needs to give first aid to the victim and quickly take them to the nearest specialized medical facility for emergency treatment and timely treatment.
Dr. Vinh also noted that parents need to pay attention and observe young children to prevent accidents. Supermarkets and shopping malls should have warnings about falling situations on escalators to ensure greater safety for users.
