Nearly 75,000 Vietnamese workers went to work abroad in the first half of the year

Japan continues to be the market receiving the most Vietnamese workers with 35,240 workers, followed by Taiwan (China) with 28,206 people.

According to statistics from the Department of Overseas Labor Management ( Ministry of Home Affairs ), in June 2025, the whole country had 13,060 workers working abroad under contracts, including 4,650 female workers.

On average, every month there are about 12,500 Vietnamese workers going abroad to work.

The markets receiving the most workers include: Japan (5,338 people), Taiwan (China) (6,074 people) and South Korea (673 people). Some other markets continue to record stable numbers such as China (236 people), Singapore (248 people), Romania (83 people) and Hungary (65 people).

Thus, in the first 6 months of 2025, the total number of Vietnamese workers working abroad under contracts reached 74,691 people, including 25,617 female workers, completing 57.4% of the yearly plan.

Japan continues to be the market receiving the most Vietnamese workers with 35,240 workers, followed by Taiwan (China) with 28,206 workers and South Korea with 5,650 workers. New markets such as China (1,478 workers), Singapore (1,100 workers), Romania (400 workers) and Hungary (572 workers) also recorded positive results.

Along with maintaining traditional markets and expanding new markets, inspection and supervision of recruitment, training and dispatch of workers are strengthened.

International cooperation activities continue to be promoted to expand markets, diversify industries and improve the quality of human resources, ensuring the rights and benefits of Vietnamese workers working abroad in the coming time.
