The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to focus on strengthening monitoring to detect early epidemics, take samples for testing, manage and monitor; destroy sick pigs and pigs in the same pens, disinfect and sterilize; temporarily stop slaughtering and consuming pigs and pork in epidemic areas...

Localities must prepare records to destroy sick pigs according to regulations and provide support when there are policies to support farmers; support will only be provided when farmers have declared their farming activities and applied biosecurity measures and disease prevention according to regulations.

At the same time, strictly handle cases of not declaring epidemics, selling, slaughtering, and dumping diseased or suspected diseased pigs into the environment, leading to the spread of epidemics.
