Specifically, at 8:00 a.m. on August 8, two more female workers were taken to Tien Hai General Hospital (Hung Yen) for examination and monitoring.
Previously, 2 workers confirmed that they had lunch at the factory on August 7. After that, they continued working until the end of the day and returned home without eating anything else. During this time, 2 workers had stomachaches and diarrhea, so this morning they were forced to go to the hospital for a health check.
Toyoda Company is a foreign direct investment enterprise from Japan, specializing in the production of automobile steering wheels. The factory was built in Tien Hai Industrial Park with an initial scale of 1,500 workers, but has now expanded production and recruited about 6,300 workers.
According to workers, every lunch at the company cafeteria has thousands of people eating at the same time (2 factories). In response to the suspected food poisoning incident, the company informed workers that it would continue to provide lunch, but would minimize the number of dishes to avoid possible risks.
On the part of the authorities, the Food Safety and Hygiene Department (Hung Yen Provincial Department of Health ) has taken food samples at Toyoda Company for testing to determine the cause.
Previously, on the afternoon of August 7, Nhan Dan Newspaper recorded that 27 workers of Toyoda Company were hospitalized due to symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach pain after eating a meal at the factory.
Last night, these workers were discharged from the hospital after being examined and thoroughly checked by doctors at Tien Hai General Hospital, and their health returned to normal.
