During these heat waves, some stations recorded absolute daily temperatures exceeding historical values (GTLS).

Other areas across the country are generally 0.5 - 1.5 degrees Celsius higher than the average of many years.

For the South, April 9 was the hottest day since the beginning of the dry season and also recorded the highest temperature in history at many monitoring stations. Specifically, Bien Hoa (Dong Nai) 40 degrees Celsius, Long Khanh (Dong Nai) 39.5 degrees Celsius, Thu Dau Mot ( Binh Duong ) 39.2 degrees Celsius.

It is forecasted that from April 11 to May 10, the average temperature across the country will generally be 1-2 degrees Celsius higher than the average of many years. In particular, in the Northwest and Central Central regions, some places will be 2-3 degrees Celsius higher than the average of many years.
