Born in 1986 in Nam Dinh , Quynh had an incomplete childhood when at the age of 4 she had to have her left eye removed due to complications from a small wound. Discrimination and alienation from her friends made her live in inferiority, pain and hurt. However, with a strong will and a desire to assert herself, she rose up, studied well and gradually overcame adversity.
Later, when her boyfriend’s family rejected her because of her physical disability, Quynh thought about giving up on life. But her mother’s love and a volunteer trip to Yen Bai helped her awaken, when she saw the innocent smiles of disadvantaged children in the highlands. It was that moment that ignited in her a dream of bringing an educational and loving environment to children with disabilities.
Graduated with a Master's degree in Special Education, in 2014, she founded Duc Minh Disabled Children's Rescue House, which later developed into CHIC Center for Applied Research in Educational Psychology. Here, she and her colleagues built special classes for children with autism, developmental disorders, speech delays, intellectual disabilities, etc. Each child learns in their own way, no one is left behind.
Not stopping there, Ms. Quynh also spent 5 years compiling the document set “Practicing communication development”, helping parents, especially in remote areas, have tools to support their children at home. That is the dedication and unconditional love of a woman who was deeply hurt, but turned the pain into strength to spread positivity to the community.
