On the morning of January 20, at the 2nd Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, 2024-2029, 100% of delegates voted and consulted to elect Mr. Tran Viet Truong, member of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to join the Committee, the Presidium and hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Conference was chaired by Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Delegation, Vice President - General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Vice Presidents of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee: Hoang Cong Thuy, To Thi Bich Chau.
At the Conference, Vice President - General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha presented the report of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee on the consultation of appointing personnel to participate in the Committee, the Presidium and hold the position of Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, term X, 2024-2029.
Accordingly, based on the announcement of the Secretariat on the transfer and introduction of Mr. Tran Viet Truong, former Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City , to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for consultation and election to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024-2029 (in Official Dispatch No. 13160 - CV/VPTW dated January 17, 2025 of the Central Office of the Party).
Based on the number of members of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee approved by the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; implementing the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee submitted to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee for consideration and decision to appoint Mr. Tran Viet Truong, member of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to participate in the Committee, the Presidium and hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, 10th term, 2024-2029.
From the content of the Proposal, 100% of the delegates attending the Conference voted and consulted to elect Mr. Tran Viet Truong, member of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to join the Committee, the Presidium and hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Speaking at the ceremony to receive the assignment, the new Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Tran Viet Truong, expressed his sincere thanks to the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee for trusting, introducing, negotiating, and assigning the task of Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee for the 2024-2029 term; thanked the Politburo , the Secretariat, the Central Organizing Committee and the Central agencies for their attention and trust in assigning him the important responsibility.
On this occasion, Mr. Tran Viet Truong expressed his deep gratitude to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, the leaders of the City Party Committee through the periods and the people of Can Tho hometown for always supporting, sticking together, uniting, sharing and accompanying over the past time.
Emphasizing that this is an honor and also a great responsibility assigned by the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front and People, Mr. Tran Viet Truong affirmed that he will strive even more, constantly cultivate and train his political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, be dedicated to his work, try to continue learning, be open-minded, quickly approach new tasks, inherit the achievements and valuable experiences of previous leaders, and make greater efforts to successfully complete assigned tasks.
In his new position, Mr. Tran Viet Truong hopes to continue to receive the sharing, wholehearted attention, leadership, direction, and facilitation of the leaders of the Party, State, and the President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; the encouragement, love, care, sharing, support, and valuable experience of revolutionary veterans and previous generations of leaders; the attention of comrades in the Standing Committee, the Presidium, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and its member organizations; the joint efforts and unanimity of the staff, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and of Front officials at all levels to successfully complete the new tasks.
