Accordingly, VietABank plans to issue more than 276.4 million shares to existing shareholders at a ratio of 100:51.19, meaning that a shareholder owning 1 share will receive 1 right and for every 100 rights will receive 51.19 additional shares. The decimal number of shares (if any) will be canceled.
The source of capital for issuance is the undistributed accumulated profit as of December 31, 2024 (over VND 2,604 billion) and the Charter Capital Supplement Reserve Fund (over VND 160 billion).
After this issuance, VietABank's charter capital will increase from nearly VND5,400 billion to VND8,164 billion. Compared to the plan approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders in April 2025, the scale of this issuance has decreased by VND87 billion.
Previously, at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, VietABank approved a plan to increase charter capital from nearly VND 5,400 billion to VND 11,582 billion, equivalent to an increase of 114% (an additional VND 6,183 billion) through three forms of share issuance.
Including, issuing shares to increase equity capital from equity capital and reserve fund to supplement charter capital (VND 2,851 billion); issuing shares for sale to employees (VND 200 billion); issuing shares for sale to existing shareholders (VND 3,132 billion).
Previously, on July 22, VietABank officially listed more than 539.9 million shares with code VAB on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) with a reference price in the first session of VND14,250/share.
Regarding business activities, in the first 6 months of the year, VietABank recorded pre-tax profit of VND 714 billion, equivalent to more than 55% of the 2025 plan and an increase of 27% over the same period in 2024.
As of June 30, VietABank's total assets reached VND 133,952 billion, an increase of VND 14,120 billion compared to the beginning of the year. Outstanding loans reached VND 87,422 billion, an increase of more than 9.39%, customer deposits reached VND 95,784 billion, an increase of VND 5,495 billion compared to the end of 2024. In particular, the ratio of non-term deposits (CASA) increased by 29% compared to the end of 2024, contributing to reducing capital costs and improving profit margins.
