10 young scientists won the "Golden Globe" Award in 2024

NDO - From 69 nominations from 39 organizations, the "Golden Globe" Science and Technology Award Council has selected the 10 most outstanding faces. These are all individuals with outstanding achievements with many patents, useful solutions, many high-quality international publications, domestic and international awards.


Entering its 21st implementation, the Award was widely launched to 203 agencies and units both domestically and internationally. Specifically, including central ministries and branches; provincial, municipal and affiliated unions; universities, centers, research institutes; organizations, corporations, enterprises; press agencies; Embassies, Youth Union Executive Committees, Vietnamese Youth and Student Associations abroad.

After more than 2 months of launching (from June 3 to August 15), the Center for Science, Technology and Young Talent Development (under the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union ) received 69 nominations.

Of these, there are 62 valid applications, in the following fields: information technology, digital transformation and automation; medicine - pharmacy; biology; environment; new materials. In terms of gender, there are 59 male candidates, 10 female candidates. In terms of educational level, there is 1 associate professor; 49 doctors, 14 masters and 6 bachelors.

Candidates under 30 years old account for 17.7%; the youngest candidate was born in 2002 (22 years old, in the field of new materials). There are 12 candidates studying, researching and working abroad. Candidates from academies, research institutes, universities account for 88.7%, the rest are candidates from organizations and businesses.

After 2 meetings, the Central Youth Union Secretariat decided to award the 2024 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award to the 10 most outstanding young talents. Of which: 3 individuals in the field of information technology, digital transformation and automation; 1 individual in medicine and pharmacy; 1 individual in biology; 2 individuals in the environment; 3 individuals in new materials.

Each individual will receive the Central Youth Union's "Creative Youth" Badge, the "Golden Globe" Cup, a certificate and a cash prize of 20 million VND.
